It seems that only the baggers have had the tranny noise.
The 6 speed tranys are "supposed" to be the same, at least internally, for all the big twins.
If it really is only the Baggers that seem to have it. I'm wondering if it has something to do with a minor difference in the case design, their higher weight, and or the extra aerodynamic drag of the fairing and bags.
It could also be that the fairing is amplifying or letting them hear something that's really there on all of the bikes.
But without a fairing, normal wind noise and in some cases louder pipes covers it up.

Have 1500 miles on my 2007 Deluxe. I also saw a different forum (forget which one) that had a whole bunch of neg Harley posts. Primarily fr 2007 Road King owners complaining of the tranny noise and excessive heat. My own experience. Pretty hot when it was stock. No tranny noise that I noticed. Power was less than awsome. Then I got a new air filter and V & H pipes and a SERT remap of the ECM. And oh yeah, had them put in synthetic oil too. Bike runs great now, much more power, cooler too though the weather cooled down so may be due to that. Overall, very happy with the bike but you need to put 1K-2K of $ into it to get the max out of it.

"TONS OF PROBLEMS"?? Mine is an '07 FB, with less than 2,200 miles in the odo and have no complaints. I just had them replace the fork sliders in mine, so that WAS ONE PROBLEM (which to me never was). Love the six speed and bike rides great.

Any EC brings mess into any production line and from there to the field the DPPMO's can go roof top. No need to be space scientist to guess.

Well at least that is my argument (or excuse?) when they ask me: why a '99 Evo?

Regards.
