mine have been so bad I had to use 2000 grit sandpaper...shame on me, I know

they should have been cleared from the factory.

I use a aluminum polish/cleaner with 000 steel wool while its wet. then wash it with soap and water and then dry. seems to do a decent job. I'll go out to the garage and get the name of it. A buddy of mine gave it to me and swears by the stuff.

another vote for chrome. you can trade them in for a chrome set. check eBay.
