Default Last for the weekend

Moving right along... everything is working well, the only problems I have had is because the kit was not designed for an 84. The last pics may interest people not even interested in wide tires. The kit came with a 3/4" axle so you can reuse your brake caliper bracket, but all the 18" x 8.5" wheels have 1" bearings. I made my own "adapter". I bought a piece of 1" DOM tubing...total cost $8 shipped...the ID was perfect...I had to knock a couple thousandths off the OD...I made it the full length between the swingarm and used 1" spacers. As an added benefit I can hang all spacers and caliper bracket on the "adapter" ...pick the wheel up with a floorjack and stab the axle...easiest wheel to install I have ever had.

Default Big Bear Choppers Venom Exhaust

I found some exhaust I think I can make fit. No big deal you say...next time your in a catalog checking out Softail exhaust, notice that virtually none fit 84-85 to start with because of the kickstart...then add 6-speed, hydraulic clutch, 250 tire and it really becomes fun. Had to knock a small dent on the backside to clear the hydraulic clutch...and it looks like I will be spacing, grinding holes, bending brackets to get them parallel.

Default Almost...counting the minutes

Gotta put the chain on, get the rear wheel alined and I am waiting on my license plate mount (2 week lead time) then it needs a serious wash.

Great job. Looks nice and clean. I love that caliper on the sprocket setup.
Really opens the wide wheel from right side.
