My brother in law asked me to stop over his house this week and remove his 2010 FXCWC rear fender so he can have it air brushed. He is not allowed to touch tools.
Anyways from looking at a picture of the bike it looks there are 2 tourques bolts holding the fender to the swing arm.

Anyone know the size of the tourques bolts? and what is needed to take the seat off to get to the wiring harness?

Thanks for the help your saving me an unwanted trip back to my house to grab whatever tools I cant find in his garage.

 

Remove the 2 x torque bolts on top
Remove 2 x 9/16 bolts on bottom
Slide back and unclip harness
No need to remove seat

 

i think they're t-40..maybe 45's

Hi. I need help. I will go to remove the rear fender to modify electric wires. I need the torque spec of the 4 bolts of the rear fender for when I fit after the fender.

Uppers to 30-35 ft.-lbs.
Lowers to 28-32 ft.-lbs.
Loosen uppers and re-torque to 48-52 ft.-lbs.

Honestly I have had my rear fender off a few times and never used a torque wrench to reinstall it, and it's still hanging there.
