Crossbones Seat Question

Defiantly Try The 1925 Seat
Give the 1925 seat a shot first. It bolts right up and should give you back about an inch or slightly more. I would like to try 2" springs on mine but I am 230 (250 with gear on probably) and as such, I sometimes bottom out my stock 3" springs so at the moment I have not tried the shorter springs. Fortunately at 5'9", I don't feel that the seat is too high for me even though a lower seat would be nice.
I've also tried the Deluxe stock seat but you have to have a different fender to use it or modify your existing fender. Also, even though the Deluxe seat is nice and low, it is also really wide between the thighs and I lost any reach to the ground with my feet that the lower seating position gave me because my legs had to be so far apart. Plus it was really uncomfortable to ride for the same reason. The seat pressing against my inner thighs caused all kinds of pain and cramping after a short while riding. I'm a bit heavy set but I doubt that my thighs are so big that it is my legs to blame and not the seat. It's too bad because I love the look of the seat.

Bumping this since I need some help.
Ordered the 2" springs from J&P in 2010. Kept bottoming out, so I changed back.
Just decided to try them again. But before I got them on I felt how soft they were, and compared to the stock ones, they were much thinner.
So where did you guys get yours? If they were as hard as the stock ones, I probably could got down to 1", but haven't seen them anywhere, so 2" would be fine.
I got the 8000260 from J&P.
