I too got my Deluxe from Classics HD but never will take it there for service. The indy refers to a independent bike shop, Mel's Speed and Custom Bikes. I ws nervious painting over new paint but figured"F" it.Fortunately, no regrets.

That looks awsome! I am thinking about taking the plunge on my 06 Deluxe as well. I get so many comments as is that it is frightening to go for the custom paint job though! Mine is blk/wht recently upgraded to a 95. chrome front end, headlight nacelle, beach bars, and chrome out the a!@#. I'd like to do the teal/cream like on the 55' I think it is a "hollywood green"?

I know this is off topic, but I must know??????

HDluxy, I'm liking your full nacelle w/ visors, I was thinking of doing the same thing to my deluxe, the nacelle in the HD catalog says it won't work with the FLSTN, we did this conversion to my buddies FatBoy no problems, can you give me some pointers as to what had to be done for the conversion, did you use the HD heritage nacelle? What visor did you use?

I took it to a custom shop in Orlando, JZ Rider. I just didn't have time to mess with it. Used the Heritage Classic Risers and Nacelle for the Heritage. They claimed it took some machining?? Didn't really care just wanted the look. Parts and Labor cost me more than the 95 upgrade with 211 cams. It screams now, I am very happy! Really contemplating the custom/vintage paint job now! I thought they said they had to use a road king visor? I bought the one for the Deluxe but had to return it.

I think you should go for it...that would be one bitchin color combo. Keep your eye out for a used set of tins and have them painted. You can keep your stockers tucked away if you ever want to go back. I am looking for a set myself for this very purpose.

Hey Bobros,
Love that retro paint work. As you might tell I like the retro look as well. I will consider a custom paint job in a few years......if I don't build a complete second bike that is.
