Favorite Fat Boy Wheels
I am trying to decide whether to have my 2010 Fat Boy Wheels chromed, or invest in a new set of wheels altogether. I would like to get your ideas on the best wheels for performance, value, and look. I personally like the Reaper wheel that Harley sells, but don't want to invest that much without hearing from some of you out there that may have a better alternative in mind. Any input is welcome, and photos are too of course.
Thanks.
Thanks.

For value, the Harley brand wheels are hard to beat. They are cast as opposed to forged so the metal can be a little bit more porous than a forged wheel. Most wheels are in the same price range from the major manufacturers which is usually a little bit more than twice what a harley brand wheel will cost you. The reason for this is after market ue to the forged vs cast metal that is used for the wheels.
Your best value is to chrome your stock wheels or do a chrome exchange. That way you can also keep using the tires on your bike now assuming that they are in good shape. IF you choose to buy different size wheels than stock (which 90% of my customers do) you will incur the cost of the new tires along with the wheels. Once you figure in matching rotors and a pulley the price gets a bit higher. If you have any questions feel free to contact us here ont eh forums or give us a call. Whatever you choose, enjoy!

Mine are the stock 2007 & up wheels, cut, chromed and powdercoated by Impress Plating & Polishing. You trade your stock wheels in to them and pay well under a grand for both wheels in most cases. You can see more of their work here.
I've had these wheels on for a year and they've been great so far.

For an inexpensive but cool option on a Fat Boy, I've always liked the Fat Boy "Slotted Disc Wheel - Textured Chrome." It works great if you want to retain that Fat Boy identity with something that looks just a little different.
