Default Went for a ride and got fried thigh!

Just like the title says, went for a ride that lasted maybe 40 min and the heat on my inner right thigh seemed more intense than normal. Got home, dropped the trousers, and lo and behold there stood the mother of all blisters!

Never thought that would happen, definitely need to find a solution to this one and quick!!!

Your air cleaner cover burned you that badly? Were you wearing shorts? If you were wearing jeans, I'll bet your engine is running VERY lean.

Took a ride today in the late afternoon and definitely felt the engine heat. Keep thinking it's time to by a heat shield. Think I'll pull the trigger on a Captain Itch one this weekend. Sorry to hear about your blisters...damn that must hurt!!!

Ck out Captain Itch crotch coolers. If you have converters, replace your mufflers with slip ons and change over to 20w50 synthetic oil and install XIEDS to richen air fuel at idle. This is the best results you will get for the money spent.

One word...LEAN.

Get a tuner & add fuel + go for the crotch cooler, or let your sweetie kiss it..

Yep, sounds too lean to me. Any discoloration of your pipes? What color are your plugs? White is LEAN, Creamed coffee is great!

Pipes have heat shields and I was wearing jeans. It wasn't the a/c, and I really only notice the heat when I am stopped at lights.

Definitely looking at the heat shield! I normally just shift around a bit when I feel the heat, never thought it would blister me. I guess I'll know next time, huh?!?!

+1 I got the one with embossed Harley wings. Works great!

Is there a cheaper way to address the lean issue, than purchasing all the mods? I mean, new exhaust, pc v, new a/c ain't gonna come cheap.

My first upgrade will be a crotch cooler, but I really don't know all that much about the lean issue and I definitely don't want to park the bike for the rest of the summer.
