O2 Sensor on front of pipes
How in the holy hell does this come off?
I've been playing with it for 30 min and can't get the large nut that holds it to budge. Does it just unplug or do I have to break this nut loose?
I am taking off my pipes to get ready for the new clutch cable coming. The rest of the pipes coming off is a brreeeeeeezzzeee. But this. Not so much.

Great...just saw another one on the back side of the second pipe. I have a feeling they may just unplug but of course, I don't want to keep tugging and screw something up.
These are coonected to V&H BSS pipes. After looking at the rear new again....I am wondering if these are even attached to anything? Lol The rear one looks to just have an end hanging there and its zipped tied to something else under the oil tank.... but it doesn't look like its plugged into anything.
The manual is not clear on how they come out.

Well, I couldn't wait for an answer so I dug in.... come to find out, the O2 sensors are not even plugged in. Am I missing something or should they be plugged in? Remember...still learning about this bike and had someone installed my pipes, AC, cams and tuner all at once so this is new to me.

Technically with a PCIII, no, they shouldn't be plugged in. However, they should have been removed and had plugs (filler plugs, not actual O2 sensor plugs) put in to the holes to seal them off. If they're not plugged in, and you're removing the exhaust..just take the exhaust off with them still in the pipe. they just unscrew, but are just tight.

I feel for ya man.
Those O2 sensors are in the worst possible place to get at.
We ended up putting a wrench in a vice and heating it up then bending it to get at the tricky bastards.
I cant believe whoever installed your pipes originally didn't put plugs in.
Must of put some noise up by the front of the engine not to mention a loss in HP CRAZY!!!!
V/H sells the plugs if you cant find a reasonable solution.

I found these but I am not sure what size I need to get. Does anyone know if the V&H BSS pipes use an 18mm plug?
I found these on Amazon:
