Well, good luck! With my bike as low as it is now, I already fear steep angle driveways and speed bumps! With my 42's, I'm going to have to get a shotgun set-up just to raise my bike up enough to get over ****! LOL

Yep your going to drag your tips here and there pulling on to roads if there is a decline. I have 33's and scrap mine a lot. Pulling out on the roads slower and going on a angle helps.

Dang! As fast as I like to ride, I think I'll end up installing some RV skid rollers!

Yep. The bike might look a bit odd sitting way up stock height with a nice set of Cholos on there.

Yeah, I would like the shotgun, but right now the bike budget won't allow for it. At least with the S/S, I could crank up the air when the wife gets on. I'm telling you guys, I am worried about scraping with her on back. I guess I'll find out this weekend when it shows it.
Thanks for the replies.

If your fishtails aren't scraping you are not riding hard enough. It's all a part of the experience. I am yet to find someone who wants to look under my fishtails to see if they scraped, and they have. All of the varying length sets I have run.

I do like your bike! You got any pics of it with the rear not lowered?

I have a set of 39's waiting for install. I also have the floor boards but I also dropped my pipes off yesterday for ceramic coating. I hope that takes care of any heat issues or burnt boot marks on my pipes. I also think the heat shield goes back far enough to aid in that too but I am not 100% sure as this is my 1st experience with these pipes. I had the mini's on my 97 Heritage and it was never an issue then, I can only hope for the same with the 39's. I will be following this post closely for the next month or so.

If you are getting burnt boot marks your feet are not on the boards properly. Get some Harley Goodies floorboard extensions and that will be a thing of teh past. http://harleygoodies.com/hdf/
