Angry "Momma ain't happy...."

You've all heard the saying..."if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." Well, my wife is not happy when riding with me on my 2006 Heritage. She gets to sit on this "pad," which is not very comfortable and barely wide enough for her caboose. Anyone know of something better than a "pillion," or "pad," that is at least 14 inches wide and comfy enough for long trips that will fit my Heritage Classic? The Moco's prices are too high.

I had a old fatboy passenger seat laying around that was about 11 inches wide and sent it to mean city customs and had it widened and some better padding put in it. Was expensive but the girlfriend says its very comfy now. I think its close to 14 inches wide now.

+ 1 on the Mustang Seats. I have the wide vintage on the rear of my Fatboy. It's 14" and she has never complained about the ride.

I have a Mustang wide touring seat on my Heritage. The rear is 14 inches wide and well padded. Wife loves it. They aren't cheap but how much does an unhappy wife cost you?

You definitely have to upgrade your seat ,and make sure she has good back rest. The price will probably be higher than you want to spend but you get what you pay for. You can also change the footrest to a little wider that might help with her foot placement sometimes that can make them uncomfortable to. You can make that a lot better, she will be happy again. Remember it is not a touring bike though. Good luck

Do you have passenger floorboards or just pegs? Floorboards make a huge difference. Her legs are lower on the boards than pegs

Yep go with the mustang seat, some adjustable floorboards for her and possibly a Shotgun Shock for the both of you. My wife kinda liked our new Heritage but when JD installed our Shotgun Shock my wife LOVES to ride on the bike now.
