RE: Alternatives for front turn signals
Hey Loader, Still no link.
Let me make sure I understand this.
Take the all-thread (or bolt with head cut off) and insert it in lower fork tin bolt hole
Taketurn signal apart and takeOEM mounting bolt off
Put spacer on all thread
Mount Turn Signal on to all-thread by putting all-thread through hole in TS housing and use a nut to tighten down.
I haven't taken apart the turn signals or anything but this is what I have gathered from your posts.
What did you use for a spacer?
PLEASE correct me if I am wrong.

RE: Alternatives for front turn signals
Yeah getting close, but there's no nut involved the way I did it.Screw the all thread into the fork, slip your chrome spacer over the all thread(you can get get a variety of spacers through most catalogs or probably the HD dealer). Then I just screwed the TS onto the all thread.Make sure to use loctite because it's hard to get the TS housing to finish tight in the exact spot where they are facing forward. With the loctite on there you just need to get them snug then let the loctite do it's thing. No need to take the TS apart.Just rotate the whole unit around on there.Make sure you have a long enough spacer so you don't contact the fork tins while rotating them around or you could scratch the tins with the TS housing.Your wires to the TS will have to be cut before you put them on the forks or you'll just tie them in a knot while rotating the housings. The spacer needs to be approx. 1/2"

RE: Alternatives for front turn signals
I wanted to get rid of the front turn signals, this is get 'em off of the handlebars, BUT there is always the "did the cage in front noticed my bulb when making a pass???" issue...
I rather have the turn signals in the highest spot possible, only for safety reasons.
Regards.

RE: Alternatives for front turn signals
i used 5/16 th fine thread rod cut about 1 1/2 inchs long and two stainless nuts.screw one end in the fork tube on lower tree the put on windshield mount andBOTH NUTS you have to cut the wires for signals screw on the turn signal with the bracket off of it,just threaded hole tighten one nut against the tree and the other against the light THEN CONNECT THE WIRES other wise you can't screw on the light.cost me about six bucks and they look good and the windshield goes on just fine.hope it helps you
