After having installed the Mich's Commander II's on our Heritage last summer and they now have 9700 miles I think I can report a little on them..
My Riding habits is I am 64 and I ride like a Grandpa.. Most 2up on country roads at 35-40 mph,,
NO hard take offs or hard braking.
Here in IND we have nothing but Straight and Flat roads.. \
So, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who is easier on their tires or brakes as far as how many miles a tire last.. And I check the pressure every 2-3 week and keep the front at 39-40 and the rear at37-38 psi...
Now, - I just measured the Commanders II's with my Tire gauge,,
Front -- has 3.5/32nd's left,,, New it had 5/32'nds..
So it about 1/2 worn out when it will be worn down to the Replacement bars or at 2/32nd's thread left..
Rear-- only had 3/32nd's tread left.. New it had 8/32nd's..
So it only has about 1/32nd wear left before it is worn down to the wear bars or replacement at 2/32nd's..
Results on the Commanders II's
Looks like the Front will go maybe - 20K?.
The Rear Might go 12k.???
Commander II's VS the Dunlops (What I've used for the first 40k on our bike)
The Front Commander II's will not last any longer,, Actually Both of my front Lops 402's had 3/32nd's tread left at 20K, but I swapped them out anyway..
The Rear Might get 2K more miles than the Lops 401's (my 1st 4 rears needed replaced right at 10K)
But NO-WAY are they going to get 2x the mileage that Michelin claimed they would VS what my Dunlops got..
The Commanders does do better on Grooves and tar snakes riding down the road. But I don't see much if any difference in rain or cornering.
They also - RIDE - Stiffer/Harder I think that's due to the higher Load rating..
"ONE Thing "I DON'T" like about the Commanders is encountering TAR-Snakes in turns in Town..
First time I make a turn in town that had several tar snakes at the intersection I almost lost/Dropped the bike,, The front end felt like she was sliding all over the place, I actually stopped the bike because I thought I had a Flat Front tire. NEVER had that feeling with the LOPS. I've Learned to SLOW down in Turns that have Tar snakes now..
Now I not sure I'll buy them again.. In fact I've been looking at the newer LOP's Elite's 2nd Generation Tires for my next set or I may just go back to the Lops 401' and 402's...???

I'll be putting my 7th rear tire on next week in 2 years of owning my bones.....
Tried the Michelin Commander II it did the same as the stock dunlop 6~7k miles.
I read on hear where people say they get 10+k miles out of factory or comander II that say they have the same riding style basically as me but they live in different parts of the country.
I "assume" it's the road conditions here. I've never met anyone with a 200 rear tire in my area that claims over 7k miles.
ETA i get almost 20k out of the front
