It sounds like you're not 100% sure of the part number ...?
If that part number is accurate then this would fit 2000 and later FL softail models. Does that sound right ? If there was any chance that it was a #42632-07 which would fit an FXSTB ...I would take it off your hands.

Did a little looking around and it does appear that the one you have is in fact for the FL models as the design is more straight up. The one used for the FX models is offset a bit like you can see in this picture.
