Cool, post some pix when ya get it done. I'm curiouse how much clearance your side-bag has on a left turn. I've thought of going with a bag like you got but wasn't sure if I could with my drop kit.

Hey pops, Still thinking about lowering your bike?
Ya, actually. it's already underway. Got some parts in the pipeline and should have them on shortly after i get them...
The side bag is attached to the swingarm, so it won't go down with the frame. I've had it on for over a year and have never scraped it, nicked it, or brushed it against anything. It's really a nice bag...

That's cool story, The only thing I would have to change then would be my tag. I've got one mounted on the swingarm. From the looks on your pic, I could go with a tag-relocation kit that mounts to the rear axle, and still have room for the bag.

Guys, I need some air cleaner help.

I have the Arlen Ness Big Sucker with the stock football on my 07. I want to get rid of the football and just have the H-D skull insert with the open filter. Can I do that? It looks like the skull one has 5 bolts around it and I have one boltin the center. Also will it work doing that with my Big Sucker? If so, did you guys paint your brackets, behind the air cleaner, black? Gloss, semi flat, flat?

Today alot of guys gave some nice compliments to my ol train. I never really noticed before how differant it looked in the typical pack of bikes. I've spent so much time using these forums as a way of determining what I wanted to do next that I never really paid that much attention to what it looks like now, or how differant it looks compared to a typical group of bikes. By typical I mean bikes that really are pretty much all stock, not lowered and consisting of mostly chrome. I guess it struck me on the way home that alot of you guys really have taken your bikes to the next level so to speak. It'scool to have so many great bikes as inspiration for that next mod. Even more so that so many of you take the time to help each other out to make all our bikes that much better. I always felt like the admirer here because there is so much great stuff. Today was really cool to have guys coming up to me and saying nice bike and all that. I bet it must be overwhelming how much props alot of you guys who really have tricked your bikes out big time get....Oh well, just thought I would share that and say thankx to everyone who has helped me with my stuff.......Now I know some of yaw are feeling kinda mushy now and wanna give ol trane a group hug but back-off fvuckers....LOL...Trane don't play dat!
yeah its pretty cool, I'm curious about what the dealers gonna say when I swing through there next. lots of changes this winter
