Well guys said goodbye to the Bad Boy last week. sad to let it go but happy that it went to a good friend that will preserve it as I did. I enjoyed many miles and many smiles from that bike. met several of you in here that I keep up with regularly. Regularly as I can being thousands of miles apart. Enjoy your rides.

Does anyone have the dimensions 1996 Bad Boy tank bib. I'm thinking about making a leather one for my father with custom engraving but I haven't seen his and am also not sure of the mounting. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Tank Bib

They are all the same. All Flatside tankbibs from 84-1999 are the same. I can measure this for you but they are the same width as the dash above it. Look on E-bay for a tank bib and I bet you can get the dimensions from an ebayer there. You can also get some design ideas from the pictures on the listings....

Good Luck!

Cool That settles it....

Nice Job Ac72rat...:-)

Excellent way to demonstrate and explain. The perfect reply IMHO...

I may be gilding the Lilly here, but only add that some Leather tank bibs are reinforced underneath with a sheet of plastic to make the leather sturdy. Also the metal washer (near the bottom)must be placed in the correct position for holding the bib in place...

That is all...

Exclamation '95-'96 vs. '97 Mechanical and Electrical Differences??

Hi -- hope you guys are having some fun out there and staying in one piece.

I'm in the market for a BB and I noticed that the '95-'96 parts, service and wiring diagram manuals are different than the '97 ones.

I'm aware of the speedo change in '96, but what changed in '97? In general, I prefer the colors of the '97, but I'm curious to see if there are any pros and cons from a service/maintenance and reliability standpoint between '95-'96 vs. '97 -- especially regarding electrical stuff.

Thanks
