Looks like we had the same opinion. The wrap came off last night, and I like it sooooooooooo much better this way. Just goes with the bike better....

I think the short stacks looked better before the wrap, but then again thats my opinion, and we know what those are worth, I think longer pipes would look better wraped, I'm thinking of doing my xbones in wrap, maybe the tan color.

the black wrap just came in for mine. I'm probably going to wrap them just until the bend ends on the short one. Then match the end to that on the long one. I was sick at first when I saw the black ones, but glad I went with Chrome. I think it fits the look harley was going after. Plus, yours being Vivid black... yeah, i'd say chrome for sure! But, up to you.. Either way, you will be stoked.. They sounds SOOOO good...

Guys, We've ran into issues with our Crossbones. Our dealer here has now stated that the crossbones and the rockers are selling for $2,000 over msrp for the 1st 30 days they are on the floor, no if, ands, or buts. It doesn't matter that we have had our name on the next flat black due into their shop which is april. I REFUSE to pay over msrp for a new harley, this isn't the 90's when you had to. I called my dealer back in IA where I have bought 5 new harleys over the years when I lived there and he will sell his crossbones at msrp. He has a vivid gloss black in now. We have decided that we are going to change the color all together and we want the bike sheet metal done in red. So many bobbers are black with red rims and we think it would lookcool red with the factory black rims.We want to be set apart from all of the flat black and gloss black crossbones that will be at every bike night and rallyin the area by mid summer. Are there any pics you guys have of a red bobber or do you have any red paint schemes you have seen or like? My IA dealer will have it painted for me for $1200-1500.

well, if your not interested in being like everyone else with the bones, DON'T BUY ONE, !!! Red, yellow, orange or green. Buy an Older softail and customize that instead, cut the BS and you wont even need to pay for msrp on a 97/96 night train.
