12" apes and the seat is a le pera, I'm actually wanting to go to a bobber spring type seat but don't know how I should do it. I like the real thin seats and the scissor springs but it says the HD ones don't fit our bikes for some reason

I know I saw the scissor springs on he HD site. Just was a while since I looked. My interest in modding the bones is just some pipe dream I have as the bike belongs to my wife.
She dont like to mess around. Probably will keep the bike stock minus the stage one till she cant ride no more. The pass it down to our grandson. That’s at least 15 years away tho haha ha
She’s even forcing me to keep passenger seats on both bikes.
So can’t even bob my fender
gotta hit the lottery. Please let me bit that lottery LOL

JWILL, Bike looks beautiful!. I rode without a front fender for awhile but got tired of debris and water splashing up on me. Had the stock fender add with some mods to fit.

YES its not a crossbones and if you ride in the south west no fender is great but after many years with out one I prefer one

Lonesum, How do you like the foot clutch? I've been debating about getting one.

No. lot of stuff going on with it, put a '36 only springer (black)with a front fender-MT 50x16 tire and wheel kinda going for the '48 look. Had this bike in different looks since the '70s

Once you get over trying to put your left foot down at stop lights everything will be all right. I've had this setup since building it in the '70s and don't ever see me changeing.
