Mine kept killing batteries and it was my regulator. I changed it out for the Cycle Electric one and been great ever since. The stator is not the easiest part to replace and I would hate to go thru all of that without being sure that it needed it. You should run the charging system tests to find out what your issue is.

Ok, I'll have to check that out. Gotta get this fixed. This "being stuck on the side of the road in the middle of a ride" is for the birds.

I assume that your battery or check engine lamp are coming on. Are you getting an error code for overcharging, undercharging, or both?

I dont recall If my check engine light came on or not. I know the first one wouldn't start when I stopped on the side of the road so I had a brand new one brought to me and put on. Fired right up and finished my ride. Didn't ride for a couple months and when I went to start, nothing. Put the charger on it and after a couple hours checked it and nothing. Think the charger said replace battery.

Follow this link and scroll down to your year model for instructions on checking your error codes. You will have to have a charged battery first of course.

I can't believe this went for almost a month before someone broke the silence haha. I really haven't been riding much at all. It's raining all the damn time with mix days of sun and heat so all it's doing is turning the yards into jungles. In my off time it seems like every time I turn around I gotta cut the F'n grass.

Well screw it. Today I'm taking a mental health day and going riding!

Gator...did that sissy bar come with a headrest!!??

Hey Gordon, nice to see you on here bud. One of these days I'm gonna make my way down with Joe and the Busted Baggers so I can do some riding, BBQ'n and boozin with you.
