Wondering if anyone in here used a cable kit on their train with narrow glide apes and how well it worked out? Went with 14" burly narrow apes on 1.5" risers, and I want black vinyl cables. Been looking at the LA choppers stuff, apparently made by Barnett, kit is for 12-14" apes, just worried they might be long or fittings on cables no right angle since my apes are narrow apes and therefore not as wide as say a standard ape...what have people used that worked for them???

Im running 14" Wild1 Chubby Outlawz (narrower than some apes) on a 1" LA Chopper riser on my 08 NT. Ordered the LA Chopper 12"-14" kit and found that the wires were not pre-assembled with connectors and didn't like the vinyl black finish as it looked cheap, but had plenty of cable/wire to work with. I decided to send the kit back and ordered Burly Brand stainless steel braided 14" kit.. I will let you know how it looks/fits!

I extended the wires on my own, so I have that part done. I was told the la choppers stuff is made by Barnett so I assumed the finish would be nice. I want black vinyl, nothing braided...how were the actual cables on length? Or did you never install them because you didnt like the finish? I have heard bad stuff about burly clutch cables, not sure if that applies to braided though also.

The headlight is stock night train, with the harley visor style trim ring just powder coated gloss black and an amazon led headlight

I’ve had real good luck with Magnum cables over the years. Just did a set of Burleys on a friends bike .. Quality was lacking.

Just spoke with LA choppers about their 12-14" black vinyl cable kit. Here are the measurements

Brake line- 54.5" with a 90 degree end at the bar
Clutch cable- 76.5"
Idle cable- 47.66"
Throttle cable- 47.72"

Curious if anyone with 14's on their train has measurements they can share to see how they compare. Wouldn't mind using an off the shelf set of cables as opposed to ordering custom length to save some cash
