I probably won't be able to go but I went a few years ago and the countryside is phenomenal. If you're looking to put back a few cold ones, no alcohol in cherokee. It's a reservation...no liquor allowed. You'll have to ride the 6 miles (45min) over the mountain to Maggie Valley.

I've always wanted to go back. Plus they always seem to have some good live music. I saw Vince Neil (singer of Motley Crue) and Tesla perform.

I'd bring my flyrod though. Some beautiful trout streams up there.

If you plan on drinking don't go. Period.

You can not stay in the compound and there will be check points on the way out. I had a friend get busted for DUI and his wife (passenger) had to fend for herself. I love going to rallys but I like to stay inside so I don't get busted.
