I got out yesterday for a bit, but I lost both lips and an ear in the heat.

It's been hot for sure! I've been riding most days this week between Cary and Benson on my commute, 40 ain't getting much better. I went out to get some gas the other night but with the coming full moon and it being cooler out I rode half a tank out before I got back from the 4 miles up to the gas station. Hate it when that happens.

good to see ya...... things have been dull around here lately..... guess everyone's riding...

 

Where ya riding too? Seems like most of my riding lately is commuting back and forth from work. At least I can get in around 80 miles a day when I do.

 

I'm not getting in that many, but my riding seems limited to the daily commute too.

We rode to the Mtns several weeks ago, but yesterday (sat) we stayed local...Went to Blue Note Grill (Durham) for lunch and Rommels HD and home...To hot to ride in the city, We should have planned a ride in the county instead...

 

Nice. I'm itching for a longer ride. Maybe when the weather cools off a little.

 

well in the past month,
we did a day ride to the BRP... west to Meadows of the Dan, then about 100 miles of the parkway to Peaks of Otter, before taking the back roads home

each of these COULD have been an easy short ride, but I like to go the LONG way, looking for curves etc...

And then there's the general just messing about riding with no particular goal, or destination...not to mention taking the old lady's bike out, and burning a tank of fuel at least twice a month. Nice thing about living on the north side.... 5 minutes, and I'm out among farms field, live stock, and lakes

 

Nice. I'm thinking about heading downtown Saturday and check out the bike fest thing going on. Who knows might just be my excuse to ease on down the road a piece.
