Just my luck.... my TC-88 is apart and shipped to the machine shop.....at the same time I have 3 nights booked at Station's Inn..... still better than having everything come apart, while up there....
Good thing I can/will steal my wife's bike.....not that she uses it for more than a coat hanger
Oh well I have a couple thousand miles planned between the snake, the crooked road, and the backbone..... good thing I put on new tires, and just changed her oil.....

yeah..... OEM belt, has 140k on it..... looks great, no cracking , no chipped teeth.... but... has STRETCHED to wear I'm just about at the end of my adjustment.... and bushings because "while you're there"
Had a great week end....took a LONG roundabout way there....(got caught in the rain on the BRP for the last 20 miles..Wouldn't be a Blue Ridge Parkway trip without rain and fog
Woke up Friday to pea-soup fog, could not see across the street.... waited far too long for the fog to lift....then eased over to Jerry's Midway for breakfast while waiyig to see the road better.
Once it lifted, we did a "butterfly' pattern route crossing Shady Valley from both directions,
Saturday we did the Backbone and Claw, of the Dragon....
Was in the saddle both days from 9 AM, to 4 PM... just nothing but curves, and hills...
I like my wife's bike and all.... but it isn't MINE, and I was never really comfortable on it

Jeff and Raymond were in OH,WV, KY, and NC this weekend, said they got rain a bit, Raymond had a nail in his rear tire so was babying the Wing in the twisties until he could get it fixed. Couple other Goldwingers were along for the ride as well.
Me, I'm not chancing long rides like that until I get my new compensator in, other priorities though right now...

Just outside Asheboro, and in the heart of great roads.... nothing like "the dragon" but pleasant country back roads
