Just about any place in San Angelo Texas is good."Frankos" has some awesome Mexican food. For stakes,it "Western Sky's".

I'll second that. Seems thats allI do is eat when I return to visit the folks. Both of these fine places are owned by the same person so it is no suprise the food is good at both.Chicken Fried steaks at Zentner's is great as well.

My favorite places:
The Thirsty Parrot on Hwy. 359 out of Hempstead: 1 hell of a good hamburger & excellent crawfish
Texas Thunder Saloon on FM 1488 between Hempstead & Magnolia: Good hamburger & some good steaks on steaks night

I gotta 2nd the OST Cafe in Bandera, Tx.
Me and the buds usually stop there for breakfast on our rides to the hill country.
Try the Cowboy Breakfast (2 eggs, country potatoes, toast, and a chicken fried steak with cream gravy) for five bucks and change.
The big meal will hold you for a nice long ride!

"On the River" in Freeport.

"Purcells" in Brenham. Can you say buffet?

"K-2" in Bay City, but you have to dodge the advances of pregnant waitresses! [:-]

THere's a steak place in Caldwell(Lake Somerville) where the CHicken Fried Steak requires 2 plates! Cant remember the name!

I will try to think of others...

If you are on a ride to do some gambling in Bossier City and you are taking US 79, stop in and get the worlds best BBQ at River Hill BBQ just outside Carthage in DeBerry, Tx. My Mom and Dad own it. Tell 'em the Prodigal Son sent you. Biker Friendly.
