Question Sportster 883C clutch failed pls help

I am helping my friend here. He has a 2004 883C, the clutch went recently, the clutch basket is in bad shape. Dealer tried to sell him a clutch basket and SE clutch upgrade for $800. I found a Barnett scorpion clutch for his sportster, does it fit? I am not sure how the ring gear bolt on the stock clutch basket, does he have to change other parts as well? Thanks
HERE IS THE PART

DK has a fitment box on that page, and his bike is listed; it's supposed to fit. If his basket is gone, sounds like the brass rivets on the spring plates let go, one of the weakest links on a mostly solid powertrain design. If there are missing rivets when you pull the plates, try to find them, don't want metal shrapnel in your primary. Whatever you decide to do, I'd sure avoid putting in another Harley spring plate; most (all?) after market kits just use extra clutch plates and avoid the riveted mess altogether. I replaced my 1200C clutch plates a little over 30K miles, and those rivets were loose. Since nothing was damaged, I just put in a Barnett plate set (no spring plates), works fine, and I'll never have to worry about it coming apart.

If you don't have a spring compressor, I'd really recommend getting one, usually cost around $50. Be very difficult to replace the plates without one. I got the Barnett, real easy to use. You'll probably pull the primary cover, good time to replace the clutch cable o-ring where it goes through the cover, too. Messy when those start leaking.
