Default Flickering oil Pressure Light

I had a Oil light that kept coming on and off when ever it felt like it.

Bike only has 1100 miles. So i call the local harley Dealer, and they said bring it in. We have to put it on the dyno and check if the Pressure is good throughout the RPM Range. I said OK how much, they said $250 to run the dyno for an hour and a half. I said to the service guy, Can't this just be a bad wire or pressure switch. I told him that i would bring it in in a couple of days. I drive down to a different Harley Dealer and the service guy says to just buy a New oil pressure switch. I bought it for $12.87 Installed it myself and the light hasn't come on in almosttwo weeks.

I guess some Dealers just have to show a certain amount of Sales every month. Be it Part sales, service, Accecories, Bikes.

I highly recomend Liberty Harley in Rahway, New Jersey Great Guys

Something is not right with this story, I have never heard of a dealer charging "dyno time" on a warranty repair. Furthermore, it certainly would not take an hour and a half to run it through the RPM range.

Actually a dealership can and will charge for Dyno time even on a warranty issue, also if your bike has been race tuned by an official Harley dealer another shop does not necessarily have to warranty that shops work. I learned that the other day when I was having issues with my bike.
