Flipping the mirrors was the first thing I did to my Iron. Otherwise all I could see were my shoulders. A number of YouTube videos show how it's done. A very easy mod. Don't have to replace the mirrors. Just swap between left and right.

Take care to adjust them BEFORE you go for a ride. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but if mine were not adjusted JUST RIGHT, they could strike the tank.

I'm having some trouble with the Throttle and Brake lines. It feels likes there's too much pressure on the lines when the mirror is in its proper place. Has anyone else had trouble with this? Should the brake lines have a little wiggle/play to them already? I'm worried I knocked something loose.

Thanks!

It shouldn't affect any of those. However check your banjo bolt on your master cylinder and make sure it's not loose. Also you only have one brake line up there not "lines". The two cables are your throttle and idle cable. As long as the throttle grip returns to idle with out hesitation you should be good to go.

Really you just have to go at it with a wrench and some time to adjust it. Im sure the videos explain it pretty well themselves. I flipped them and rode for about 10 miles before I needed them switched back. They looked cool but I just didn't feel safe having to take my eyes off of what was in front of me to look down at them.

Instead of flipping them I bought the Kuryakan mirror extenders. Pushed the mirrors out 1.5 inches and also lowered them. If you flip them and they hit the tank the extenders will give you more mirror to tank clearance.
