Bar-end Mirrors?

I'm thinking of swapping the stock mirrors on my 2015 Iron 883 for bar-end mirrors.

Good idea? Bad idea? Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has done this.

Thanks!

Alan

Yes mate, I've got a bar end mirror.
At the end of the day, it's really up to you and your tastes.
Do you like the look, and can you live with them in that position?
I like mine and I get on fine with it where it is, it just took a while to get used to. Another bonus is that it helps "clear up" that top line.

I like the look of them. I'd rather clear up the top line with bar-ends than by flipping the stock mirrors under the handlebars. I confess that I've never seen bar-ends on an Iron, though.

Lastly, I may go with a pair of bar-ends, rather than just one. Have to try each setup, and see how they work.

Thanks!

Alan

I ran them back in the day on my FXR

Well my one is on an evo sportster, but a sportster is a sportster. Who knows, you may start a trend?;)
I wasn't to sure about a pair, but I've always got that option.
Good luck with it anyway,
Cheers

DK Custom Products offers black bar end mirrors in your choice of a round 4" mirror or 4.75" x 2.75" oval shaped mirror with 3 separate adjustments allowing for a tucked in look AND useable mirror placement.

These mirrors are designed to fit most 7/8" & 1" handlebars. Depending on the style of grip on your bike some throttle side grips may require significant modification for the mirror to fit.

These mirrors come with step-by-step instructions and can be used on either right or left side and they're reasonably priced! :D

My wife runs these on her street 750 and she is starting to get used to them. I don't like how small they are and also find myself bumping into them. If it's a look you're going for I would say yes...otherwise not.

I've wondered about size and useability. I'm more about function than a look, so will take that into consideration. Thanks!

I've had bar ends on two bikes and loved them. Although they all say they fit the 1" Harley bar they work best on a 7/8" bar. I trimmed off some old 7/8" bars and drove them into my 1" as a shim and they were rock solid and vibration free.

I'd flip them down for sport look on bike night and up for excellent rear visibility on the interstate.
