Don't know about that ham can intake---and those reflectors
Had to see it with the chrome trim piece and rear HL tin. I'm Liking the mix of chrome and black. Looks like the sportster caliper will fit too.

I agree with the mix of black and chrome. Back in those days, a lot of police bikes came from the factory with that mix of black tins and polished legs. The Slim front fender couldn't be more perfect for this build.

My wife and I were both seeing cop bike with the tank and headlight mock up a few days ago.
I wonder, for windshield hardware, if I have to space out as far on our bikes AFMM3? Maybe the brackets flex enough to run the grommets in tight. I guess I'll pop over in the softail group and ask.
I'm going to be running the front turn signal in tight as I can off the lower HL tin fastener in the white (clear) glass bullet lens and red glass in back. Since I put the glass lens on mine I can't deal with the OEM plastic lens, especially the amber(orange) ones.

How often does the wife come out to check your progress...more often because it's her bike?

I assume she's the one coming to check...hell, maybe she's the one doing the work and you're just coming out to take the photos.

...You know what could happen when one assumes. Been guilty before, a time or two

She passes by from time to time
For instance last night when I was assembling the forks I asked her to turn the wrench while I compressed the fork cap. Ten minutes of her trying to take my fingers off, I politely asked her to go in the house and did it myself.
The other day she pulled up and I had my hands full and needed a torque wrench. I asked her to grab the 3/8 drive torque wrench out of my tool box. She did after me carefully guiding her. Would of been quicker for me to have dropped everything and grab the tool myself. But it makes her feel like part of the team, right?
She loves the way the build is coming together.

Yeah--what I don't understand is when she's cooking and I pass through the kitchen and make subtle suggestions-she orders me out of the kitchen or lets me know "You can cook it Yourself"
The grocery things a whole other deal. I hate shopping and she knows it so when she deliberately buys the wrong stuff I've learned to keep my mouth shut.
But this bike build is a different story I'm building to her specs but am allowed a certain amount of artistic freedom, and so far so good.

Just keep the Progressive 2 inch drop kit in the back of your mind. When you put the rubber on and drop it on the ground you might see it too high in the front.
