So,.....does flipping the mirrors give you a better view of what's behind you, or is it a "style" mod?

better view on standard daytona bars and risers. if not flipped, you sorta just see your forearms and shoulders. some people are ok with standard.

flipping them put them under the bars and removes the rider's body from the rear view.

style wise, looks better on low slung bikes

the 48 comes that way, stock:

I flipped mine, after loosening the turn signal and carefully going stop to stop for tank clearance and like the look and the view.

Then, I adjusted my bars eventually for a more comfortable position and couldn't get the good view back that I had previously enjoyed. Put the mirrors back on toop of the bars and all is well again.

Oh well.

I flipped the mirrors on my 2011 Iron without any issues. I relocated my turn signals first using the H-D relocation kit to allow room for the mirrors. It then took less than 5 minutes to flip the mirrors, job done.

Got tired of looking at my arms and not being able to see when a car is ******* me. A little scary when you move your arm to see a little **** car a couple of feet behind you.

Relocated and can see everything. Must do IMHO.

Since this thread is back alive, Is it just me or my right mirror after flipping (left originally) is low and doesnt go as high as the left one. So i kind of have to bend downwards a little to be able to see. Is this normal and should i just bend the stem ?!!
