I really like them. I see a lot because they are convex. I can literally ALMOST see my blindspot on the opposite side of the bike. It just takes a minute to get used to. You can see the one a little better here.

Seriously, though, I was amazed when I sat on it. One of those monkey/monolith moments.

When they came out this spring, I thought "Wow, what a great looking bike! Harley finally put the SPORT back in SPORTster!" But, I dismissed it as a bike too small for a guy over 6ft and 325. I envied the little guys who could buy one and enjoy it, while I was relegated to luxo-barges built for someone with my frame.

Last week, while taking some family from Europe around to see the sights, we ended up at the Harley dealership. And that's when this monkey touched the monolith....

Here's another one from the dealer. No, the picture isn't fuzzy. That's how I always look...

A question here. Any current owners of the new Roadster been an owner of an XR1200? Looking to see if there's a financial reason to move from the XR to the CX. Only have 6k miles on the XR, so it's hardly even broken in yet. Any helpful info would be appreciated. tomp dd50

Biglew55, congrats on the new scoot. I've found bikes to be too large for me, but never too small, if I wanted to enjoy riding it.

I would say pros: want a more traditional look, want a metal gas tank, less plastic; cons: unfortunately has much less power unless you install pipe + cams + tune.

On an aside, I found the speedo menu! Turn your bike to ACC, hold both turn signal buttons down, GUESS WHAT THERE'S THE FUEL GAUGE. Everyone go out and buy the fuel level sender now

ACC = Accessory. The ignition switch has 3 positions, OFF, ACC, IGNITION. ACC is the middle position.
