Hey,

Hows this bike look? The guy doesnt know who did the frame but he says its been a great bike. I dont know what to look for in these bikes, tell me what you think.

It's as ugly as sin, but each to his own. It doesn't exactly look loved either, also there is a truck-load of take-off stock parts for that bike somewhere!

Run don't walk away. Price is way too high for a mutilated bike.
Looks like crap.
Carbs just cleaned means .....bike has been sitting way too long.

What's custom about that frame exactly? Someone took a saw to the frame rails and installed struts? I'd pass. You can likely pick up a stock one for really close to that money.

Here's my story for this bike.

Some guy got rear ended and his bike was declared kaput by his insurance company. He bought it back as a slalvage, hammered the frame and welded the wheels into a hard tail so he wouldnt need to buy shocks. Removed the front fender to match the absence of rear fender. Called it a bobber, even know its more like a rat bobber, and is trying to get some hipster to pay top dollar for it.
