I have a 2016 Iron and just recently purchased the Kuryakyn RoadThunder sound bar for it. I am currently trying to get all wired up and struggling like a ****. My main issue is trying to locate the wire for accessories.

There are two wires coming out of the ignition, green/black and blue/white. From there I cannot figure where they lead to. In order to properly install the stereo, I need to tap into the accessories. I have come across a couple different answers online and none of which match up to what I am seeing on my bike.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

The orange/white wire under the seat/behind the battery cover on all 2014 and newer Sportsters is the one you want for switched accessories.

 

I am honestly having one hell of a time locating that wire. Forgive my ignorance but, is there anything else I should remove from the bike to locate it?

 

It was real easy to find under the seat of my 2017 Roadster. My first Harley, I got the shop manual and the parts manual. Also HD accessories came with instructions to use that orange/white wire for switched accessories with directions as to where to find it which I looked at before I answered you the first time...
