Default FuelPak on a restricted Iron 883`

My Iron 883 is restricted to meet A2 license requirements within the UK.
If I purchase and installed a FuelPak,or Power commander, would this affect the restriction/push my bike over the A2 limit of 47HP?

save your stock tune then flash it back at inspection time.

Wait is there an inspection time? How does this stupidity work? GRBrown may have a better answer for you.

Rats - no pressure! For background info we have limits (as many other countries do) on the power of a bike a new rider is allowed to ride. As a result the manufacturers, including H-D, modify suitable models to comply with the regulations. Once a rider like Inderblitz reaches the end of the limiting period the power restrictions can be removed, something the dealer will probably do as part of the deal, when selling the bike.

Being ancient I predate such regulations and I've never been through that touching process, so don't know exactly how it works. Inderblitz, my inclination is to suggest you leave the ruddy thing alone old chap, until you qualify to derestrict it! You will have to declare a tuner as a mod to your insurance company, which could throw a real spanner in the works. Gently does it for now!

Yes we have annual inspections, but at present I don't believe that sort of mod is checked, certainly it isn't on my bikes. However if Inderblitz was to draw attention to himself while riding, the Police may look more closely - they ain't mugs when it comes to dealing with novice riders/drivers!
