Default 883 Lowering question

Hi all,

I have a 2017 - Iron 883 and bought such a cheap lowering kit but it didn't fit because of the adjustable suspension that is on the bike.

So my question is, is there a lowering kit that fits a 2017 ?

Thanks for the link, that where the ones I had. This doesnt work on a 2017, the adjustable springs are to wide at the bottom where the connect to the lowering blocks.

The lowering kit I have:

The springs on my bike:

This spring on a pre 2017 are oke for the kit:

The reason why it dont fit is because they are thicker and the angle changes with the blocks so the spring comes in contact with the block.

Not ideal but maybe you could use washers to space them out a bit? I'm about to install air shocks on my 883 soon and you have to space those to clear the belt guard.

If you have a DKCustom product that doesn't work, contact their Customer Service. They are excellent. That link says the product works for years 2005 and up.

Yes that could be a option but I dont think I gonna like the look of it. Maybe I'm going to fabricate something myself then and sell these.

Contact DK, as suggested above. They are an HDF sponsor and have a high profile around the forum and I'm pretty certain will want to sort things out for you. There aren't many sponsors who take a closer interest in us as their customers!

Personally I wouldn't use any of that type of lowering block, but certainly advise against making your own or modifying the ones you have. Think of the loads sent through your shocks next time you hit a pothole!

Thanks for the reply, do you have these on your bike with adjustable shocks right now?

I tried different types but all give the same problem as soon you change the anglemount of the shocks, the bottom of the shocks touches the lowering.
