iam thinking no more upgrade´s on my 15 iron, i want a bigger less vibrent bike for my hands and body, if the damn luxus tax was not so high(150 on top off sales tax 25%) bit i would get a m8 street glide and be done, but thinking the new street bob m8 would do fine with other rims, forwards controls and 2up.
ps. iam 6.2 and long legs
regards
Sören

I have 2 regrets that involve Sportsters. My first regret was not getting the XR1200 that was sitting next to the 48 I bought new in 2012. After that I regret allowing the dealership to install the Zipper's 88 CI kit on the 48. That engine was never right from the get go.

But.... That mishap lead me to my Roadster and I haven't looked back since! This is the bike I though a Sportster should be and am loving it. I will keep this bike and get a used Lowrider S in a few years as my second bike and for 2-up with the wife.

First bike was a '82 Kawasaki LTD440. Road the crap outta that bike till I had a pretty bad wreck in '86. Fast forward to the end of 2016 took a MSF riding course and on 12/31 purchased my 1200 custom and loving ever minute I'm on it. Just regret waiting 30 years to get back on the saddle.

My first bike ever at 44 is my 2017 Forty-Eight. I only wish I could've started riding a lot sooner. Being heavy, wanting to make SoCal to Tulsa, Ok runs and start riding 2 up, I had been considering trading up to something bigger.

Just last weekend I test rode a 2017 RK and a 2017 Heritage and no way. Though well built, the RK to me felt work truckish. The Heritage on the other hand, seemed like it was made just for me and so so smooth BUT, so does my Sportsrter, while being the polar opposite of smooth. If I have to trade up, I try a Street Bob set up like my 48.

Funny thought but no joke; while sitting at a redlight on the Heritage, I felt guilty like I was cheating on my bike!

No regrets the sporty is better fun.

Mine 883 does what I want it to do twin stoppers are good and goes round the corners without bottoming out.

It's a keeper.
