Wow that is a huge rotor....did you mock it up already?

I increased the size of my rear rotor from stock to 11.5" and had to relocate the caliper forward on the swingarm.

That's ok, I am one of those who favor function over form.

install here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...l#post14787123

most of the vids out there only cover big twin installs

there is a raised portion (boss) above the lower caliper bolt hole that needs to be ground down to even with the rest of the surface

I didn't need to do anything, I just bought the whole thing and it includes an offset that you bolt onto the front leg and then you bolt the calipers onto the offset. That causes the caliper to relocate to the right place to grip the bigger rotor.

How did you relocate the rear caliper? I'd like to do that too, if it's not too difficult.

Thanx for the link. I didn't think you'd go for such a big ugly contraption on your bike. I'm ok with it but as I said, I favor function over form.

:icon_rant: fvcking Arlen Ness, why can't they just say lip or raised portion above the lower caliper bolt hole! WTF is a boss??

OK, I am definitely doing something wrong here: in my case, the pads rub against the new rotor.

No matter how I wiggle and jiggle, it still does that. I filed away the "boss". When I press the brake lever, it definitely works and grabs well. But the pads just won't release the rotor completely when I let go. :-(
