Help - Turn signal jammed gas tank after accident
Hey everyone, I'm a new member here and I have a HD 2014 Iron 883. about a year ago before i traveled all summer and could rider her, I jammed the right turn signal button against the peanut tank during a small accident involving gravel (damn roads in West Virginia!) Anyways, once i turn the key on the right blinker is always blinking and during operation i cant use it. I have to hit the left signal twice to put the hazards on then off again so i'm not driving down the road with my turn signal going on.
My question is how do i replace/ trouble shoot what is wrong here? also after a small accident like this (maybe going 10-20 mph) no serious injury, what would you want to check? All the cosmetic work ( a few scratches) has been corrected, except for a ding in the gas tank (viewed in photo) right at the bend, does anyone know how to get a ding in that place pulled out or fixed?
thanks for reading and any advice you can give.

I would start with opening the clamshell and seeing what's jammed or broken in there. That's the first step then go from there. I don't know 100% how the newer bikes are set up but I'm pretty sure it's either going to be some Torx screws or Allens. Open it up and take a look. It's pretty simple in there. Post pics of you need more advice, it's hard to tell without seeing.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. The switch may be damaged or wiring disturbed, so do as maverick suggests and take a look inside. As for your tank, there is a panel underneath it where the EFI stuff is installed, which will provide access for someone to knock out your dent. You can take a look by referring to a parts website. I had a similar dent knocked out of a tank by a local painter/panel beater. Admittedly I had it repainted, but the dent is gone. That is the sort of job where it is worth paying an expert, rather than trying to do it yourself!
