Default Hose from oil tank to oil drain plug split.

Is this hard to replace? Is it DIY or just take it to the shop? Anyone know the part no and type of pliers I use to remove the clamp?

TY in advance

You can remove the clamp using a regular pair of "dykes" to cut the part that is squeeze right down the middle. Then you can get a cheap pair of nip cutters at a place like Harbor Freight to squeeze the new one tight.

Dykes:https://www.harborfreight.com/6-in-d...ers-63816.html

Nips:https://www.harborfreight.com/10-in-...per-60815.html

No need to pay all that extra money for the "special tool"

You can easily pop those factory clamps off with a little screw driver. It’s easy. I replace them with fuel injection style hose clamps as they apply more even pressure. I recently replaced the in and out lines from the tank to the oil pump and is easy but needs patience. The drain hose is likely the easy one.

I just did this replacement because mine was leaking at the oil tank. I used a Dremel to cut the the old clamp off. I did put back the stock clamp. I bought the special crimping tool off eBay for about $20. I have to say that the job took almost 2 hous because getting the pliers on the clamp was an almost impossible chore due to the limited working space.

i retrospect, I would should have just used a $0.50 worm gear clamp. Think about it. If it's good enough to hold the drain plug, why wouldn't it be good enough to hold the drain hose at the oil tank?
