What is your goal again? Stock runner? Did you find your parts? Just go the parts phish, select all and delete the engine, transmission and frame. You need everything else.

Lol. Wish I lived closer so I could help out. Love this stuff!

Remember this is a budget build. So I have a wideglide front end with 16" tire, single disk. Set of drag bars with 1-1/2 risers. 883 speedometer. I didn't want to risk the old nasty tank so I bought a new one, "porkster" is that a thing? Kinda low profile. Solo Sportster seat. Found a beat up bobber rear fender that needs straightened but that's ok. Price was right. Came with taillight I like. Already bought new tires also, that match, what a concept.

Anyway my vision of a "48", my way. I need it to look very old school. And for now the color is satin black, I know everybody is doing a flat black. But it is what I want at this time.
I need it to be dark and low and loud...

Ha, that's what is inside my head. My wife will tell you there's not much else.....

Wow shade tree mechanics at it's finest there. Ya know if this was a Mad Max time and he had to get it running, that stuff MIGHT make sense, but.......it's not! Wow

Just goes to show the abuse these bikes can take, and continue to run.
