Default Rear shock upgrade question.

Has anyone on here put the HD shocks from a Low Rider S on their sportster. I read somewhere that’s it’s a decent shock upgrade and just wanted to know if I need any other hardware except the actual shocks from the LRS.

The LRS is quite a bit heavier than a Sporty, so that seems like an unusual choice to me, as a donor for shocks. The same comment could be said of RK shocks, but they only have very light springs so are more adaptable.

How heavy is the rider? How often do you have a passenger?
