I loved the movie and gonna buy it. Put it this way, the head of the gang wanted the Sportie over the other bikes. As for the wrecks.. They blew up all those bikes. I don't think cost was a factor. On another note. Since the Sportie is lighter than the other bikes, it leaps alittle easier through the air. Makes for better crashes. I thought it was pretty damn funny. Ask Brian about North Texas Ride 2 about the crow.lol!!

Seen the movie in the theater with the wife and son after an extremely stressful two or three weeks at work. I walked out of the theater, still laughing, with pain in my side. Realistic? Naw, it is Hollywood. In some ways I can relate to all of the characters. My first cycle came at 40 years old, and without all the accidents, I probably looked a lot like W. H. Macy when I rode.

My favorite scene(s) in the whole movie had to be a three way tie...
The look on John Travolta's face as he looked in his mirror at the bar, the father in the swimming hole, and the surfboard scene at the end of the movie (Sporty riders revenge).

How many movies really protray single men or married men today? Watch an action/adventure movie protraying just about anything in the Navy, and I can pick apart the inaccuracies, issues, etc.

After reading the number of guys in here dropping thier bikes, filling it full of diesel, pouring gas on the tank, (no offense meant to anyone here who has posted), William H. Macy's character and the Sporty, probably have a good foundation of truth. Really the only thing missing was a "sweet young thing in a thong" and "automatic pumps"...

Yeah, you could see the "bar blowing up" scene a mile away, but the look on John Travolta's face when it did made it hilarious. And how about that singer at the street fair? Funny and gross all at once.

Unrealistic storyline, but various individual scenes is what I liked about it.

Just watch the movie myself. Didn't like it. Some parts were a little funny but a waste overall.

i bought the dvd yesterday and seen it opening night at the theater..it was one of the funniest movies ive ever seen..on the dvd they have the making of the movie and william macy says they chose the sportser due to the fact he had no motorcycle experience and they thought it was a good bike for him to learn on..he said everyone said it was a girls bike, then said he would love to see the girl that could ride that..i love the part in the movie where they first get to the biker bar and john travolta isnt talking and is trying to have a tough guy look on his face..actually the movie was funny from the beginning al the way to the end..

I loved the movie, loaded cast, and I just love Marisa Tomei. Glad to see she ended up with a Sporty rider

I had to cringe every time that Sporty crashed. Same paint job I have on my 883C.
