You need to order 11.5 inch Progressives, Stocks are a little over 12- 1/4 give or take. I put 11" inchers on mine and lowered it almost 1-3/4"

Stock shocks on my '05 1200 Custom measures 11.75" eye to eye. Progressive 412 replacements are suggested at 11.5 to keep about the same height. 11" would lower you a littlt

Once removed from the Bike my stocks were 12-1/4 for one and 12-3/8 for the other. We measured the bike before and after and the 11 inch progressives lowered mine 1-1/2, I just checked where I recorded it.

Hogsport is correct on this one. The shock length is measured eye to eye, installed on the bike, wothout any load. The factory stock length for the 04up 1200C model is 11.75". The equivelent Progressive replacement length is 11.5"

I wouldn't recommend going shorter than 11" unless you want to accept a pretty rough ride. (Lack of shock travel) You might want to consider 1" lowering blocks instead & 11.5" Progressives.

Did the lowering blocks and kept the stock shocks on the 2000 Custom, saved a bunch of money. Lowered itjust over an inch, the ride stayed about the same.

I have some lowering blocks if any one wants some, I am thinking of getting some progressives but want to keep the same height just want to get a better ride and also looking at forks as keep bottoming out on them when I hit a hole,. any suggestions on what I need to do to help the forks and what size progressives needed for better ride...no bottoming out and keeping same height BTW I have a 2005 883 low
