Too cold is when you can't feel your muscles enough to move em. Lowest temps I've seen were around 25* dry (AZ air) with winds around 10-15 mph with gusts near 20 mph near the fields and open desert...had my heated gloves, my mask, beanie, goggles, wool socks, HD boots, a thermal, a hoodie, and a dickies jacket over em.
Doesn't matter where you're from...cold is ****ing cold. I've been to many other countries and almost every state...and my statement stands.
Personally, I have no choice. I don't have a car, so whatever the weather, I'm in it. I TRY to make it only rain/freeze/etc. on my days off, but controlling the weather is hard when you got so much other stuff to do .

I would say around 40, depends on the weather that day, the Temp, Wind and if the Sun is out or not, that makes a difference. I have ridden on nice Cool/Cold Days with the Sun out and hardly no Wind, I loved it and was not that bad, had the gear on and did not feel much of anything.

I'd ride in the 20's to the firehouse - fortunately it's only 8 miles. Only time I wont ride if there's snow/ice on the road.
The bike I had at the time (BMW F650GS) would sit covered for 24 hours in the overnight freezing temperatures and fire right up the next morning.
Hmmm...hope the Nightster will do as well...

I would say 40-50 degrees. When it's that cold I wear a leather coat, leather gauntlet gloves, full face helmet, long johns, jeans, and a neck gaiter.I don't enjoy it that much though.I hate wearing the helmet.A full face helmet just blocks sooooo much visibilty.Plus with all the clothes on it's hard to move and adjust
