Default Is there a kit or something to move the controls...

Even further forward?

I currently have forward controls but I would love to have about another 2 to 3 inches of leg room to stretch out a bit. I do most of my riding in the city so highway pegs are not really an option.

Looked around on google but could not really come up with anything.

cheers

Do a search for "stretched forward controls". J&P also sells them, from a few manufacturers. I think there's also a thread on this site about a way to do your own by making new brackets.

Those are only for FX models....you'd have to do some major hacking to get em to fit.

lol....yeah, HD doesn't make a huge range of aftermarket parts for Sportys, they SHOULD, but they don't.

Mid USA makes them, so do a few others. I think you can get a good price on Jireh, though for a Sporty.

I went to J&P and can't seem to find anything that hints towards stretched forward controls other than this....

And for $400 bones, they better damn well be made of gold. LOL

5th set down, +2" version....a little less pricey. These are what I had, they kick the factory forwards *** in comfort and design.

The 5th ones down only go to 03.... I have an 04. The 4th ones down are for the 04 / 05 but are 400 bones.

*sigh*

Any machinists on the board with some spare time?

You could attempt it, but honestly, any parts you buy for 04 later right now are gonna be expensive and limited in quantity. If it were me, I'd be making a trip up to Lowes or Home Depot and bustin out the grinder and drill.
