Default my two cents...

Congrats on the choice! We started with an 1100 Vstar for similar reasons. My husband is 6'4" and we wanted an affordable bike (what I call a throw away bike...ride it til it dies!) that could carry the weight of both of us, however, I've longed to own a HD. I can't complain about the '04 Vstar as it did serve the purpose quite well and continues to be very dependable even after going down on it two summers ago. Going down was not all bad though. The 1100 was a bit too cumbersome for this gal and being that I'd rather be in control of what I'm on, the accident put me in the perfect position to be free. I opted for the 650 Vstar but after taking an 883 (of all HDs it was a bike I vowed I would never own...never say never!) for a spin I was hooked and convinced that Harley is the route to go. The weight distribution between the bikes was very noticeable and a primary selling point for me. The HD won, hands down!
