Default nightster fuelpak location

I have an 08 Nightster w/shortshots and new air cleaner. Can anyone tell me where to hide the FuelPak? There's just no room under the seat. I know I can't be the first with this problem. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't fit like the pics show, the cables aren't long enough. I hate the fuel pak for Sportster. I had to remove the mounting stud for the seat and pack it on top of the battery. It fits but the seat no longer mounts like it should on the large locking stud.

It does fit but it's really tight. I had to pull all the wires to the left of the bike and force it in there. The battery fits tight after its in place also. Keep working at it by pulling the wires and pushing the connector in there. My biggest problem was keeping the battery bracket out of the way. A second pair of hands would help.

Fuel pak is a TIGHT fit... As Rat Trap said it fits above the battery, in the frame cradle above the battery.. Took me awhile to move wiring around enough to find the sweet spot. Be patient. I got frustrated, walked away, had a beer or three.. went back to it and things fell into place... Definitely not as easy as the V&H video and instructions make it look. But once its all in and together I have had NO problems. Just be patient and move things around a bit.

Put it on Ebay, then buy a PCIII from fuel moto. They come with a tray that replaces the factory ecm tray that fits in the hole in the rear fender. PCIII will then mount below the ecm. No problem, fits nice.

Hey had the same problem so what I did was it comes with the double stick tape which we put on the back of the fuel pak and affixed it to the battery hold down bracket under left side cover where the fuse box is and then put 2 wire ties around it so it won't pop loose....which it will. I do have the harness under the seat which was not easy but we got it under there! The seat sits fine back on there but had to sit on it while it was being screwed back on. No problems with it though at all.
