Default will fatboy wheels fit a sporty?

My buddy has 2004 fatboy wheels that I can have...I want to put the rear wheel on my 1990 1200 will this fit? If not what years wheel would I need for the rear? I was hoping not to add much weight to the bike do you think that rear wheel would weigh tons more then a stock cast wheel the 1990 came with?..Thanks

Talk to schwangster, he said his brother has the same set up. I don't think it looks right, not my cup of tea.

that sportster looks fukkn cool! It made it look meaner while keeping the sleek sportster looks man!
hmmm... I was kicking the same idea around but was scared it would make my sportster look short fat and ugly like them old timers rides. the chicks i fool around with are 25 yrs old an younger and they seem to dig the sportster, VROD and buell bikes the most so gramping out my ride to look short an fat is not an option man. keeping the sleekness is paramount to me because us guys dig shiit chicks don't and I aim everything I do at attracting chicks. I've noticed once chicks get to cougar status they like guy shiit

i think the rear wheel looks good. having the front wheel like that is a lil overkill

That wheel will not just bolt onto your bike you have the old style bearings and your bike also uses rotors and pulleys with a differant center diameter, Harley doesn't list a bearing to make that wheel fit your bike.
However if you can find a 99 or older Fat Boy wheel it will bolt right on.
