Short Shot or Not.

Short Shot or Not.
I presently have a 2001 883 Sportster with Sceamin Eagle pipes and stage 2 upgrade. I would like to replace the Sceamin eagle pipes with a set of short shots or something similiar as I prefer that look. Are there any pros or cons to making a conversion like this. Also is there any additional carb work that needs to be done to handle the exhaust change. Any advise would be great.

^^dunno what you are talkin about...
I have a 09 Iron and have the SE Heavy Breather, the V&H Black Staggered Short-Shots, and a V&H Fuelpak and I don't get any popping and/or backfiring on decel. Backfiring = excess fuel being burned when it doesn't have to be.

I had the screamin eagles on my 06 883. Just finished installing short shots in
black on friday night. You may already know this but if you do the short shots in black
they come with o2 sensor holes and vance and hines sells the plugs for like 30 or 40$ but
you can go to the auto parts store and get two oil pan drain plugs and get copper washers and they will work just fine. I think the size was M18.
I havent noticed that i needed to rejet my carb. I dont hear any popping when decel.

Really? I'd like to see what mapping you're using. Maybe V/H has finally gotten their ***** together. I've been back and forth with them for two years now.
