Alot of time and beers, Patience is a must. I heard everything from using lube to fishing string to a ribbon with air pressure

All ya gotta do is use ol' fashion lung power. The string will pop out the only available exit (gotta word that kinda delicatley - with out using "blow" or "hole").

Also, there's a little about it here, post # 7:

The plugs that connect the wiring harness to the harness from the bars come apart. If you have a book it tells you how to do it. Then tie your string to the wires. I tape them up and use dawn soap to lube them up and slide them through the bars. It takes patience...... and beer.

The sleeve the wires are in is bigger than it needs to be. If you cut that off and tightly rewrap the wires in some GOOD electrical tape the holes in the bars don't have to be as large and it makes them easier to get through the bars.

+1 on all the above.

A great wire-pull lube that won't harm the wiring is plain old white lithium grease available in a spray can that comes with straw attached....It's useful for many other things, so you might wanna buy a can anyway....The good thing about this lube is it foams up and doesn't forever run out....after a few hours, it drys in place but retains it lubricity.

Good luck! I've done several for myself and many for others and quickly learned to give it lots of time and patience.....And like the other guy said, beer helps fersure.
